Seniors Active Living Program

Our Seniors Active Living Centre is located at the Kagawong Park Centre, 39 Henry Drive Kagawong, ON and is now open year round! The Senior Active Living Centre will provide programs, events, services and workshops to all residents of Billings, adults 55+.

Seniors Active Living Programs

The foundation of an active life starts with daily movement – a little daily activity can go a long way to being and staying healthy. 


Try out one of our classes – or take them all!  Examples you will see on the Seniors Active Living Calendar are: Strength Balance and More Fitness, Aerobic Dance for Seniors, Tai Chi, Yoga and Walking Group- the Sole Mates.

Classes will change as the seasons change so make sure to subscribe to the calendar to stay in the loop!

These events and workshops can be just the tune up you are looking for to make headway on issues such as:

  • inflammation
  • memory retention
  • nutrition
  • healthy weight
  • mental well-being
  • fall prevention
  • personal safety
  • smoking
  • alternative and complementary medicine and supplements. 

These are a few of the most requested wellness concerns and we welcome your suggestions on what’s on your list to dive into. 

Being creative is a part of keeping our brains healthy. If you add the socializing element of being with other creative souls then you have an added boost to your mental wellness.

Try a Painting workshop or maybe a Slab Clay Ceramics workshop.

 Possibly a Fibre Weaving or Basket Weaving workshop.

Maybe a Wood Carving or Whittling workshop is more your style?

Maybe you want to get some coaching on how, where and why to stay active. We can help with that.  

Or do you need help sorting out solving a problem or process?  Pop in and we will figure it out together.

Maybe bring your yarn and yak a bit or play cards – have a cup of coffee/tea and before you know it there will be fun happening and your brain will have had a workout!
