Notes: 1. The objective in all service areas is to provide an effective service at an efficient cost. 2. In some service areas, operating costs in 2002 reflect a more accurate allocation of all payroll and related costs than was available in 2001. 3. In 2002, our Water Distribution system was analyzed, all leaks were repaired and as a result operating costs stayed fairly firm but the actual volume of water treated was reduced. 4. The Township of Billings has no official maintenance standards as at December 31, 2002. Adequacy measures are subjective. 5. The Township has no recycling program in place. 6. Fire Services are provided by a volunteer fire department. 7. Policing is provided by the Ontario Provincial Police. 8. There are a total of 67 kilometers of roads in the Municipal system. 52 are maintained on a year round basis. 9. The Township has no sanitary or storm sewers systems. 10. The Township has a flat rate billing system for water.
