PRESENT:  Mayor Austin Hunt, Councillors Kim Bilbija, Sandi Hurcomb, Tom Imrie and Brian Parker. Staff: Clerk Treasurer Kathy McDonald

 

2011-067 Imrie – Hurcomb

BE IT RESOLVED THAT this special meeting of the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Billings be opened with a quorum present at 3:30 p.m. with Mayor Austin Hunt presiding in the Chair.
                                                                                                Carried

 

Council discussed the development of a Strategic  Plan and the organizational needs of the Township.  After discussion it was decided that the original draft needed to be changed slightly and should be as follows:

 

1.       Adhere to Growth Plan/Policies for Northern Ontario

2.       Continue to maintain safe roads.

3.       Continue to upgrade municipal facilities

4.       Develop and maintain and enhance municipal infrastructure

5.       Continue to encourage and assist business ventures and increase tourism

6.       Continue to encourage growth and development

7.       Continue to comply with Federal , Provincial and municipal legislated standers.

 

2011-068  Hurcomb – Imrie

BE IT RESOLVED THAT we adjourn from this special meeting of Council at 4:50 p.m. until the next regular meeting of April 5, 2011, or call of the Chair.
